  3. City Museum – This place is bizarre, with a 10 story slide, a bus hanging off the roof, and infinite passageways. It’s an adult playground of repurposed scraps belonging to the reconstruction of St. Louis. You cannot miss this place! Also, go after 7 pm on weekends for discounted rates and less crowds.

  5. Anheuser Busch Brewery  (Free) – Who doesn’t like beer? Or should I say free beer? This mega house of a brewery owns almost 200 brands and also has some of the most famous Clydesdales on site. Try to arrive early as the free tours can fill up fast. In the down time, if you must wait a few hours for your tour, the Soulard market is close! They also have a great paid beer master tour if you are interested in a more in depth tour.
  6. Science Center (Free) – tons of interactive activities, you could spend hours here, from the planetarium to archaeology. Great place to take your kids!
  7. Soulard Farmers Market – Dating Back to 1779, it was the first farmers market in St. Louis. Get fresh produce and a bloody mary!
  8. Forest Park (Free) – beautiful park that gives Central Park in NYC a run for its money. It contains the Science Center, Art Museum, History Museum, and zoo. There are miles to explore and memories to make.
  9. City Garden (Free) – A great side jaunt from the Gateway Arch downtown St. Louis. Many large interesting sculptures and gardens when in season. At lunch, food carts will line the street with goodies.
  10. Botanical Garden – Second largest in North America, behind NYC. Look to see if Chinese culture days is going on!

Also you MUST go to Pappy’s for the Ribs and Ted Drewe’s for Custard…I repeat MUST!

I highly recommend getting some drinks at Three Sixty Rooftop where you can also watch a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game at the same time. The views are incredible! The stone fired pizza was delish.
